Cyprien Munyanshongore

Cyprien MUNYANSHONGORE is an associate professor at the NURSPH. He obtained his PhD in Public health from the Free University of Bruxelles/Ecole of Public health ULB.  After his training in Public health in 1978 (ULB), he experienced service with the Maternal Health Project and Infant Center Hospital of Kigali until 1984. After his thorough training in Public health he has continued to participate in academia until today (23 years of experience). During his professional career, he has focused his interest in aspects of Nutrition and maternal Health. Throughout his academic career he has taught many courses and directed the development of various Faculties of the UNR (Medicine-Sciences/Pharmacie-Agronomy-Education).  He has also participated in other Institutions of higher education including the Kigali Health Institute/KHI and the Higher Institute of the Médicales/ISTM-BUKAVU Techniques. In addition to these experiences, Mr. Munyanshongore has managed numerous academic activities a previous Director of the School of Public health and Nutrition.  He also participated as a member of the Board of directors of the KHI and currently works as an Assistant Director of the School of Public health.
